Attorney Lisa Foy
I was born and raised in Connecticut and have been living in the Farmington Valley area for almost a decade. I graduated with honors from the University of Connecticut in 1999 with a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science. I earned my Juris Doctorate in May 2002, at Western New England University School of Law (formerly known as Western New England College School of Law), in Springfield, Massachusetts. I was admitted to the Connecticut Bar in November 2002 and the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut in June 2003.
I have been appointed as a magistrate for the Connecticut Judicial branch and I am currently serving a three year term presiding over small claims, collections and motor vehicle cases.
I am a member of the Connecticut Bar Association, the Solo Practice Section of the Connecticut Bar Association, the Family Law Section of the Connecticut Bar Association and the Hartford County Bar Association. I volunteer with Statewide Legal Services of Connecticut providing pro bono representation to low income individuals in need of legal assistance.
I am also a member of the Simsbury Junior Women's Club, the Simsbury Chamber of Commerce, the Connecticut Association of the Gifted and I volunteer my time with the Simsbury schools P.T.O.
